It will be Thanksgiving SoCal-style for the Warriors today.

They are scheduled to practice at an L.A.-area high school, then have Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel where they are staying.

Traveling a day earlier than usual makes sense on a busy Holiday weekend. One media member was stranded in San Francisco when the pilot did not show up for the flight to Fresno. The member learned that he would not be able to get a guaranteed seat on a Fresno flight until Friday. The member decided to rent a car, then drive to Fresno. One problem: The airline could not locate his bag.

Meanwhile, after two long delays this season, the Warriors have learned it is better to be early than sorry.

  3. A-House November 27, 2014 8:55 am

To you and yours wherever you may be – a very safe and happy turkey day from A-House family.

that been said, the clouds and wind has returned to the “valley” – warmer than the past 3 days, but still a long sleeve day or light jacket – OK, time to bust out my 49er wind breaker

    ST:

you already in Fresno? how’s the weather?

any time to do some recruiting by the coaching staff?

someone posted that McKenzie and Timeoteo(sp) was offered by UH yesterday – true? any other local player receiving scholarship offer – senior or junior?

  5. A-House November 27, 2014 9:01 am

if a local player is offered and refuses because he/she wants to go away – media should make that “public” to stop any more talk about why no offer from UH

some posted earlier that a majority of the top 15 seniors have decided to accept offers from mainland schools – true?

  6. A-House November 27, 2014 9:04 am

    Happy Thanksgiving Tsaiko Nation !

Beautiful day here in Los Angeles as I continue to spread the wealth of your aloha !

Off to relatives in Carson, California about to chow down a Thanksgiving table spread that is fit for Kings and Queens. Got 3 college fairs lined up in the month of December as I will be recruiting for upper campus. My goal ONE THOUSAND los angelinos high school and junior college students will be filling out interest cards to attend U of H. Already seen the seating chart for all three fairs as they have me far away from my rivals UCLA and USC. Doesn’t matter as they can put me in the janitor closet they can’t stop the “polynesian pied piper” as my sea shell horn is too loud for them not to come over to my ohana table !

Be well GREAT folks on this special holiday as I continue to represent the 808 with dedication, respect and so much pride. Simply The Best, Better Then All The Rest !

    Let’s Go Bows !

  18. SteveM November 27, 2014 11:08 am

    Good morning everyone!

Have a great Thanksgiving… the ultimate home tailgate!

… and don’t worry about Black Friday, which arrived sometime last week. 😐

  19. kapakahi November 27, 2014 11:38 am

    #5,

While its true that most of the high profile local Class of 2015 HS prospects have already announced their verbal commitments with bigger-name mainland programs, a few are still keep the communication lines open with UH…….so there’s still a glimmer of hope……though somewhat slim.

  20. lawaia November 27, 2014 11:40 am

Happy Thanksgiving to Coach Chow, Staff, Players and all their families. Imua Na Koa Anuenue.

    19.
Have you gotten a chance to see any Damien games? I completely overlooked that team as far as recruits go but Mlb Kanai picanco hudl impressed me a lot. He won ilh defensive player of the year so that speaks a lot. Could be under radar prospect for Hawaii.

  24. oneseason November 27, 2014 1:16 pm

I hope the coaches watch for bad Bulldog acting and worse penalty calls. Let’s Go Bows! Beat the cheats! … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et8oi3_B4-A

  25. 3-Prong November 27, 2014 2:25 pm

    Zzzzzzzzzzzz…

  26. Marleysdad November 27, 2014 2:35 pm

    How bout dem Cowboys!!!!

  27. kapakahi November 27, 2014 2:54 pm

Only caught the 2nd half of Damien’s 1st game against Pac-5……before the nightcap feature game.

Picanco was impressive…..looked smooth and athletic in pass coverage……and also played receiver too……but kinda difficult to gauge his performance at ILB against a somewhat finesse team that threw the ball so much.

Truthfully the Damien player that I noticed more was WR Kapiinaokala King…..because of his 6-5 height and sure hands.

  28. Da Punchbowl Kid November 27, 2014 3:08 pm

    Happy Thanksgiving Rainbow Warrior nation!

    Go get ’em Rainbows!

  29. UHfan808 November 27, 2014 4:57 pm

    Good gobble gobble afternoon, Tsai-kos!

    Happy Thanksgiving Day! 😀

Uh oh about the one media person’s flight! Sounds like the airline needs to show responsibility to help our media person get there!

Well, sure hope everyone gets there with baggage and new undawea intact!

  30. jeezy33 November 27, 2014 6:34 pm

    27.
Just looked him up.. I like those raw basketball players who were good athletes but no experience. Considering our coaching staff is stubborn on having to use a TE, he looks intriguing. Beemer could easily put weight on him. Would be 2 nice red zone targets in king and unga.

  31. 3-Prong November 27, 2014 6:44 pm

Marleysdad, oooooh, das Coooold. You called it earlier about getting too excited too early. Aaaaah, we get em on da road in a few weeks.

  32. BigWave96744 November 27, 2014 7:14 pm

Heard an Aussie kicker is interested in being a Rainbow Warrior.
    it’s now up to Demo
